Artists popping on my Spotify

These artists are triple platinum on my Spotify account. But they may not be too popular to everyone else.

Music one again. Here's some artists and songs I'm rocking with at the moment. They're not that known to everyone, but may be on the rise (maybe not 🤷🏾‍♂️).

Jim Legxacy

Favourite Songs: candy reign (!), cold lewisham roses, hit it light it twist It

From South East London. His sound is very experimental, I don't know where he fits. But that's what I like, he's an outside the box artist. His singing-rap is a serious vibe, very eccentric. He's mad young, so he's got potential to do big things.

Odeal*

Favourite Songs: Benzimma, You or Me, Be Free, Drain Me, Karma

This guy is special. I'd fit him in the R&B category, but he fuses his sounds with Afro-swing elements. Also from South London, he's a proper talent. I'm surprised he's not more known in the scene.

House of Pharoahs

Favourite Songs: Okay, Submarine, London's Finest

BlazeYL, Sam Wise (the more known out of the group), Bandanna, Danny Stern and Kevin Taylor. They are exactly what I look for in alternative UK rap. All very unique with their own sounds, I hope they can continue to produce more good music together.

Cruel Santino

Favourite Songs: Rapid Fire, Sparky, Raw Dinner, Gangsta Fear (feat. Odunsi (The Engine))

Nigerian talent have the spotlight on them and so many artists are shining. He's a very unorthodox artist, I can't really compare him to anyone. Very different type of artists, only he can decide how far he can go.

Anders*

Favourite Songs: December, The Wall, Bad Habits, Diamonds

From Toronto, he's fuses R&B with pop and trap elements. Very versatile artists, capable of fitting in different sounds. He's another one of the heap of talents coming from the Six.

Eli Sostre

Favourite Songs: Motorola, New Opps, Blueprint, Curfew

An artist/producer from Brooklyn, New York. To me, he has no misses. That already says to me that he's somebody who's serious with their craft. His artwork tho👀. If he actually blows, let's just say I won't be surprised, I'll know exactly why.

Che Ecru

Favourite Songs: Wya, Phone Me, Trippin, All Alone

Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He's one I've had on my playlist for a while with Wya, but he's got a massive collection of material. He's got potential to make a name for himself in the game.

Shocktown*

Favourite Songs: CEDAR, Leave If You Wanna

He doesn't have many songs, but the songs he does have are all hits. Regardless of his street politics, his music speaks for itself.

FRVRFriday*

Favourite Songs: Racecarmode!, Window Shopping (feat. Lil Baby), Nana, ALL EARS

Another one from Toronto. He's makes the perfect trap-influenced sound for me, with very soft auto-tune. He incorporates different sounds, like you'll hear in ALL EARS. Definitely check out for him.

Nippa

Favourite Songs: Situations, Change My Tone, I Know

From North London, he's predominantly R&B but his lyrics are smokey at times. I like that type of contract, and he makes it work. I'm looking forward to what else he can do. He's recently featured in Craig David's 22 (Deluxe), so he's got a strong future.

Kaywavey

Favourite Songs: Dior/She, Crook, TNT (feat. Smith Blaxk), Tough Love, Deep End

Hailing from West London, he's got both the singing and rapping bag. His take on R&B Drill is done better than others I've heard.

SVMI

Favourite Songs: Bait Lies, POP (Hold It Down), Perks

He from Manchester, with very close links to Aitch. He's got a few singles here and there. Bait Lies is serious.

Just Banco

Favourite Songs: Sales Running, Bisto, Vodafone, The Walking Dead

Another one from Manchester, and it's his UK Trap sound that grabbed my attention. His flow with the Manny accent is 10/10.

ayrtn

Favourite Songs: Garms, EDGAR DAVIDS, BLACK CAT

Another young artist from South London. His trap sound is infectious, and the production is unorthodox for trap music.

Ojerime

Favourite Songs: Give It Up 2 Me, I Know Now (2003), Jetset

A queen of the South. Her new project Bad Influence was recently released. Heavy influence from 90s R&B is the inspiration for her masterpieces.

Lancey Foux*

Favourite Songs: 25WAGG3DOU2, Never Pause, Ghetto Yout, So Free

From East London, he's now establishing himself as a serious force in the UK scene. The only way is up for him.

88GLAM*

Favourite Songs: 12, On Sight, Nightcrawler, Heisman, Five Stars

Former XO artists 88 Camino and Derek Wise, since 12 popped up in my YouTube suggestions, they've been a mainstay on my Spotify. These guys are definitely triple platinum on my phone. They have a very trap-influenced sound, but they create a serious vibe.

M'Way*

Favourite Songs: 10/10, We Did, Whole Lotta Guap

Coming from Nottingham, don't need to say too much. He's cold. Straight trap bangers.

Ragz Originale

Favourite Songs: low frequency, brush u, code red, ICED OUT SUMMER (w/ BenjiFlow, Oscar #Worldpeace)

London-based artist, and he's capable of so many different sounds and fusing them together. His new project with BenjiFlow and Oscar #Worldpeace is solid. Also, he produced Shutdown for Skepta.

Quite a good selection of artists to show you guys. Here's a playlist that's got all of these artists and more.

Signing out. Love.
